Obituary of Geraldine Ann Coley

Geraldine Coley age 86, died on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at her home in Brentwood, CA surrounded by her family and loved ones.  She was born December 15, 1931 in Turtle Creek Township, MN to Arthur and Myrtle (Wilhelmsen) Carry.  

Geri graduated class of 1949 from Staples High School in Minnesota.  Following graduation, Geri entered the workforce at Armours.  Following the closure of Armours, Geri went on to get an accounting certificate at Rasmussen School of Business, and began a career at Canteen Corporation before retiring in 1997.

Through the years Geri enjoyed decorating cakes, ceramics, sewing, traveling, was an avid reader, and spending quality time with her family, all while living life to it’s the fullest.
She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur & Myrtle Carry, brother Roger Carry, as well as husbands Glenn Rasmussen, Raymond Johnson, and Charles Coley.  

Geri is survived by her children, Michael Rasmussen of Brooklyn Park, MN and Kathie (Charlie) Koch of Brentwood, CA.  She leaves behind her life partner Elwood Jensen of Brentwood, CA, six grandchildren in MN and CA, nine great-grandchildren, sisters Constance (Douglas) Nelson, and Ardis (Lyle) Pieper, both from Inver Grove Heights, MN, and sister-in-law Betty Carry in Amarillo, TX.  

The Rasmussen and Koch families wish to thank to the members of St. John’s who provided meals for Geri and Elwood during her illness, and the countless thoughts and prayers from all her extended family and friends.

Memorial Services are planned for Geri on Saturday, February 3 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1360 E. Tregallas Road, Antioch, CA 94509 at 11am.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
