Obituary of Rudy Aguinaga

Rudy V. Aguinaga Sr. Rudy V. Aguinaga Sr, 88 years old, was born to Hilario Aguinaga and Julia Vela Aguinaga in Aguascalientes, Mexico. At the age of 3 months old, Rudy came to the United States with his family to Knightsen, CA . He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Jon M. Aguinaga, his sister Fran Weiss, his brother Tony, his sister Ann Samudio, and his brother Nido. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Julia G. Aguinaga, son Rudy M. Aguinaga and wife Roberta, daughter Gloria Englert, daughter Rosemarie A. Tripp and husband Phillip Tripp Sr., grandchildren Paul Aguinaga and wife Diane, Christina Simas, Angelica Tripp, and Phillip Tripp Jr., and great-grandchildren Parker and Kasey Aguinaga, sisters Socorro Cusack, Josephine Suniga, Dolores (Lee) Wozniak, and numerous relatives and friends. Rudy graduated from Antioch High School in 1939. He received numerous awards and trophies for his excellence in track and field. Rudy was employed at Fibreboard Corporation for 33 years where he was President of the Fibreboard Club and active in the union. He retired from Mt. Diablo Unified School District after 11 years of employment. Rudy was a 49er faithful, and his pastimes included hunting in Elko, NV, fishing the delta, and spending time with family and friends. We will always be grateful for the memories of the family Christmas parties at the Fibreboard Club. Thank you to the loving and caring staff at San Miguel Villa Conv.
