Obituary of Jacqueline Ann Gleeson

Jacqueline Anne Gleeson, 85 of Walnut Creek, CA passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016. Jackie was born to the late James and Ruth Gleeson, on March 26, 1930 in San Francisco, CA. She graduated from St. Brigit's High School in 1947 and received a B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from Loyola University. She was a member of the Ladies of Loretto religious order for a number of years. Jackie had a long teaching career in both private and public schools in the United States, Australia and Ireland. She resided in Fremont CA for many years. She loved children, travel and playing the piano. Jackie is survived by her sister Alice Starita, her sister-in-law, Karen Gleeson, and two nieces and four nephews. A Catholic mass will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Saint JohnVianney Church in Walnut Creek, followed by a reception for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Alzheimer's research.
