Doyle "DEE" Elmo Neiman ll died August 7th, 2015 of complications due to a wild and full life, also known as heart failure. He was born April 10, 1949 to Doyle and Beulah (Monk) Neiman. In 1966, Dee graduated Holyoke High School and went on to attend Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. He also served four years in the Army National Guard. He went on to pursue farming and other agriculture-related businesses. During that time, he lived in the Holyoke, Haxtun, and Wages communities. He later moved to Sterling, where he was involved in aviation graphics and sales. In the late 90s, Dee moved to Eaton, Colorado. There, he and his wife, Cheri, raised exotic animals such as camels and zebras, which they sold to various film and entertainment companies. In the early 2000s, they moved to Arizona. He owned and operated many business ventures but his ultimate passion was flying. He was an amazing pilot and always found rest and retreat in the sky. His "final flight" has left those of us here saddened, but Dee lived 100+ years in only 66. He will be missed by all whom he touched! Dee is survived by his wife Cheri Kula of Rimrock, Arizona; two daughters, Jennifer Morgan, and her husband, Pete, of Windsor, Colorado, and Sky Stanley, and her husband, Rob, of Prescott, Arizona; two sons, Luke Neiman and his wife, Katie, of Windsor, Colorado, and David Neiman, of Loveland, Colorado; two stepsons, Asa Carpenter and Lee Carpenter, both of Fort Morgan, Colorado; two sisters, Naomi Newman, and her husband Stan Willmon, of Holyoke, Colorado, and Judy Neiman of both Pentwater, Michigan, and Sedona, Arizona; one brother, Ed Neiman and his wife, Cindy, of Copperopolis, California; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration to honor Dee will be held September 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the family farm located at 2482 County Rd 23, Holyoke, CO 80734 which is 11 miles south of Paoli on County Road 23, one mile east on Road 4, and half mile south.
