Obituary of Linda Ann King
Linda King died in her home on November 18, 2017 in Hercules, CA after her losing her battle with Colon cancer. Linda, was born January 14, 1953 in San Francisco (Letterkenny Military Hospital), raised in Richmond, CA., she accepted Christ at an early age. Her parents who preceded her in death are Maurice and Audrey Hamilton; Linda attended Nystrom Elementary School in Richmond, where she received in 6th grade the book a pictorial History of the Negro from her teacher Mrs. Chinosky for knowing 12 facts and reading about Negro history, in Jr high she took a Mandarin class for about 1 week and stopped because she had to get up to early. High School she was a candy stripper where she went to different hospitals helping nurses pass food trays helping feed elderly patients etc. She played non collegiate volley ball for fun. She attended San Francisco State University, where she obtain her bachelor degree in Nursing in 1975, she loved nursing and went on to start here career at University of San Francisco hospital in Labor and delivery for about 10 plus years, then she worked as a public health nurse of the city of Berkeley about 5 years, finally moving on to Summit (alta bates) where she was employed until her passing. Linda, married Jimmie L King, and from that union she gave birth to two Sons Christopher King and Aaron King, she also loved and care for her step children as her own Felicia King and Laron King, in addition to loving and helped raise her 3 nephews, Travis, Brandon and Marvin for a good period of time. She also leaves to mourn her Siblings, Maurice Hamilton (Valerie), Ronald Hamilton (Victoria), Francine Foster (Tony), Cassandra Barnes and Half-brother Jamal Hamilton. Her surviving Uncle George Hill (Amanda) Aunts: Helen Holloway, Thelma Wilson, Pauline Bradley and Janet Hill. 5 Nieces: Nicole Hamilton, Leslie Hamilton-Johnson, Moon Audrey Hamilton, Aundrea Barnes and Alessandra Hamilton. 2 Nephews: Dennis Barnes and Mateo Hamilton, great nieces and a great nephew. Special mention of her best friend Shirley Reynolds of over 50 plus years and all her beloved nurse sisters who have been so supportive throughout her career as well as giving her financial and emotional support while fighting her battle with cancer they were truly a blessing.
