Obituary of Althea Jean Markavage

Althea Jean Markavage passed away peacefully on May 27, 2018. Althea was born on February 3, 1924 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to John and Sarah Egge. She served her country in the U.S. Coast Guard before meeting and marrying the love of her life, Paul Matthew Markavage. Althea will be most remembered for the love of her family, both in seeing them often and keeping them close.  She will also be remembered for her long goodbyes, even up to the very end. Althea is survived by her beloved husband, Paul of 65 years, her children, Paul and (Sue), Peter and (Emily), Sara and (Gene) Tolibas, Michael and (Lisa), and nine grandchildren, Adam, Ellen, Sean, Nicholas, Jack, Alexis, Dana, Matthew and Jeffrey. Althea’s life will be celebrated with a private mass.The family invites donations in Althea's name to the Marin Humane Society and Disabled Veterans Association.
