Obituary of Anne Christine Madden

Anne C. Madden 67, of Alamo, CA passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.  Anne was the rock and foundation of her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew her and her vibrant personality.  Anne was born in Ridgway, PA to Joseph and Elsie Allinger, was raised on Long Island, New York where she graduated from Earl L. Vandermeulen High School in Port Jefferson, NY. She attended Adrian College in Adrian, MI and after graduation she taught Home Economics in Montpelier, OH.  She moved to California in 1978 and worked as a Credit and Collections Analyst for several companies.

Anne was a devoted mother and wife and enjoyed traveling to Boston to visit her sister and Albuquerque to see her brother. To keep her family in touch, She organized her  cousin reunion in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed attending her sons various activities, traveling the West visiting various national parks,  San Diego and adventures to Napa. She also volunteered at a local nursing home that had cared for her mother. She will be missed by her family, friends and co-workers.

Wife of Kenneth J. Madden for over 40 years, loving mother of Eric J. and Scott J Madden, all of Alamo, CA.  Also survived by her sister Elizabeth A. and her husband David D. Shepard of Wilmington, MA, and her brother Charles W. Allinger and his wife Sonia L. Goldstein of Albuquerque, NM.  A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at a later date.
