Kathryn “Kathy” Jane Craven passed away on August 25, 2019 in Antioch, California. She was 71 years old. Kathy is survived by her sons Cory and Chris, daughters-in-law Paula and Patty, grandchildren Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Kristen and Brady, her sister Peggy, brother-in-law Tim and nephew Brian.

 

Kathy was born on October 3, 1947 in San Francisco, California. She moved to Selma, California in her early 20s where she raised her sons. Kathy was an active mother, attending sporting events and volunteering as a baseball scorekeeper or on the athletic booster club. She was employed by Fiserv for many years.

 

Kathy returned to the Bay Area in 1998 to work at SunGard as a technical support analyst until her retirement in 2009. Her return to the Bay Area also meant a return to her prized San Francisco Giants. She was an avid fan and season ticket holder. Kathy also was a collector of Cherished Teddies and a scrap booker. Her handmade calendars were the highlight of Christmas for her family each year.

 

Kathy was a friend to everyone that she met. She was also a wonderful grandmother. Kathy planned a special vacation every summer with her grandchildren. They especially enjoyed their trips to Disneyland together. All who knew Kathy will miss her dearly. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
