Georgina Ruth Smith Abanto She was a resident of the city of Pleasant Hill, California. She passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14th. Gina as they called her affectionately is survived by her husband Carlos, her sons Coco, Diego and Sergio, 2 grandchildren Mateo and Dieguito, her mother Rosario and 7 siblings; Jorge, Mary Ann, Polly, Robert, Richard, Johnny and Ann Carol. Gina was born and raised in Trujillo, Peru. She was the third daughter of 8 siblings of the marriage between Jorge Smith and Rosario Abanto. She attended La Inmaculada High School, in that city, where she met her husband. Gina was a dedicated woman to her family and friends. She was loving, hard worker, helpful, kind, strong, active, smart, creative and innovative. There was nothing impossible for her. During the time that she worked as a babysitter she raised the kids as her own grandchildren and the parents as her own children. Her radiant pride was her family, who are strong, confident and loving thanks to the example with which she formed them. She loved spending her free time with her children and grandchildren, camping, traveling and experiencing new things in life. She will always be remembered for being a woman full of happiness leaving her magic everywhere she went.
