James Stratton, known as "Jim" to most, passed away peacefully at his home on October 23,2014. He was 91. Jim was born in LA, Ca. Jim was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He served in the navy for 2 years, owned American Rental for 20 years, and then owned L&J Engraving for 24 years which has now been passed down to his daughter. Jim enjoyed cooking, crossword puzzles, reading, and chatting with customers at his shop. He loved spending time with his family. Jim is preceded in death by Mary Stratton, his wife of 50 years. He is survived by his daughter Julie Cashman and her husband Pat, 3 grandchildren James Cashman (Chyan), Crystal Thompson (Douglas), and Daniel Cashman (Bailey), and 5 great grandchildren. Jim lived his life to the fullest and will be missed greatly. A Celebration of his life will be on Sunday, November 2, 2014 from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at his home.
