Lou’s ended on
October, 12, 2020
He lived his season with vigor and dedication despite the tragedies and
disappointments in the season. His reliance and trust in his Faith gave him
tThe confidence and hope of living through whatever life dealt him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Amelia, after a long battle with cancer and his youngest son Gregory.
He leaves his daughter Nanci Hall of Walnut Creek, son Curtis & wife Jackie, grandsons
Andrew and Danny, grand daughter Abbey and great grandson’s Soren, JJ and Beckham. He also leaves his sister in law Ellen and nephew Jeffery.
Lou was educated in the San Francisco public schools, the University of San Francisco and the University of California at Berkeley. He spent 40 years in public education and retired as Superintendent of the Berkeley Unified School District in 1988.
He also served with honor with the United States Army, First Calvary, in Korea.
His passion in life was his family, many friends he met during his career, his love of horses and riding and in the philanthropy areas dedicated to children and those disabled and lacking medical care.
There will be a private family service.
