Mildred (Milly) Ethel Gablenz Smart peacefully passed away at her home Monday, March 15, 2021. Born in Little Falls, MN, Milly was the daughter of the late William and Eulalia (Skoog) Gablenz.
She received her B.A. from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN.
Artwork, gardening, cooking and, most of all, occasions spent with family and friends were Milly’s favorite pastimes.
She is survived by her daughters Debra (David) Clark, Sandra (Robert) Eldredge, son Kent (Lucille) Smart, grandchildren Christine (Patrick) Eldredge Ives, Ashley Smart (Bryan Seybold), Brian Eldredge, Taylor Smart, Kelsey (Michael) Clark Altavilla and great-grandson Maximilian Ives.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, David; brother and sister-in-law Bill and Phyllis Gablenz and sister and brother-in-law Ina and Warren Nelson.
A celebration of life/memorial service will be held at a later date to honor both Milly and David.
