Obituary of Alex Cayas Puno

Alex Puno of San Francisco, California, just 43 years old, died on November 22, 2021, from cancer. He died peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in the Philippines on February 25, 1978, to Erminda and Hipolito (deceased 2014), brother to Alma, Amor, Aida, Ayra, Amie, and Axel. He attended Jesus Good Shepherd School, Theresian High School in the Philippines, and Balboa High in San Francisco. He attended Heald College and worked in accounting firms in the Bay Area. Anyone that truly knew him knew that he had such a big heart. He would give anything and do everything to help others out. His life was too short for us, his family, and his friends, but we are fortunate enough to share this life with him and the mark he left in our hearts during this short time. We will all miss him more than words can say. He is survived by his beloved fiancee, Analyn De Lara; children Sarah Valerie, Vanessa Adriana(Gino), Paul Alexander, and Aleezah Abigail; and grandchildren, Ariella Alexa and Gino Emille; his mother, siblings, and his nieces and nephews, as well as extended families and friends. Preceded him in death was his father, Hipolito Puno. A viewing will be held at Laurel Ridge Community Church, 3725 Gateway Rd Bethel Island, CA 94511 on December 2, 2021, from 1-4 pm. Celebration of life to follow (4:30-7 pm) at Antioch Community Center, 4703 Lone Tree Way, Antioch CA. 94531. Interment will be on December 18, 2021, at 2 pm, at Cypress Lawn Hillside Garden 1701 Hillside Blvd. Colma, California 94014.
