Obituary of Jennifer Marie Brown

Jennifer Marie Brown September 17, 1967 - September 16, 2022 Jennifer was born in Taft, CA, as the youngest child of Douglas and Charlotte (Hudgens) Brown. In 1972, Jennifer's family moved to Bakersfield, CA, and then in 1973 Jennifer's family moved to Concord, CA. Jennifer graduated from Mt. Diablo High School in 1986, and then attended California State University, Sacramento, and graduated with a B.A. in History in 1990. Jennifer loved to read and enjoyed libraries, so she decided to enroll in the Master of Library and Information Science program at San Jose State University, while she was working for a local non-profit research institute. She was awarded the MLIS degree in 1999. Jennifer worked at various library, data collection, and archival jobs over the next few years, and after 2014 she mainly spent her time taking care of her mother, Charlotte, until Charlotte's death in 2021. Jennifer struggled with her own chronic medical conditions until she passed away on September 16, 2022, a day short of her 55th birthday. Jennifer loved to read, listen to music, enjoyed the soap opera "Days of Our Lives", and participated in many internet forums regarding Days of Our Lives and forums discussing her medical conditions, and Facebook, to keep up with family and friends. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father and mother, Douglas and Charlotte Brown. She is survived by her sister, Judy and (David) White of Manteca, CA, her brother Richard of Danville, CA, and her brother Robert and (Karen) Brown of Pleasanton, CA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Russell, Danielle, Gabrielle, Erica, Austin, Alicia, Parker, and Kamryn, as well as 7 great nieces and nephews, several aunts and uncles, and many cousins. Jennifer will be laid to rest near her father and mother at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Concord, CA.
