Obituary of Ruby Withrow

Ruby was born in Sacramento, CA on November 5, 1958. Ruby passed away on May 27, 2023. Ruby grew up in Martinez, CA and spent her high school years in St. Louis, MO. She entered the US Army in 1977. Ruby was honorably discharged in 1981 after serving as a Specialist 5th class with a US tour at Ft. Riley, Kansas and then Frankfort, Germany. She received 3 Army Commendation medals with two Oak Leaf clusters and a Marksmanship badge during her time of service. She was a Transportation Specialist. Ruby worked for 40 years as a Ticket Agent for American Airlines. She loved working with Customers and had a passion for safe and on time air travel. Ruby wished to pursue her Photography more in retirement. She also planned to continue her travels. Ruby had a lifelong love of music, and Rock and Roll. Her favorites were Journey, STYX and Joe Bonamassa. She leaves behind her sister, Sherrie Ann Withrow, Godson, Keith Warner, her pets, Zen, Einstein and Sachamo and many, many friends that she loved. Ruby’s Celebration of Life will take place on June 28, 2023, at TWU Union Hall Local 505. 1521 Rollins Rd, Burlingame, CA Hours are 1-5pm. Ruby was cremated per her wishes and her ashes will be divided between scattering in the Pacific Ocean and a private burial in the Sacramento National Cemetery with Military Honors.
