Obituary of James Andrew Croker

Jim Croker March 10, 1958 - February 14, 2014 Resident of San Ramon Jim passed away peacefully at the young age of 55, after a ten month struggle with cancer with his family at his side. He was born in Oakland to Daniel (deceased) and Joan Croker of Danville. He graduated from Monte Vista High School, attended Oregon State and went on to graduate from U.C. Davis. He had various retail management jobs over the years, most recently with Sprouts in Dublin, which he loved. He met Barbara at his cousin's wedding in 1984. They were engaged on Valentine's Day 1985 and were married September 7, 1985. They loved to travel, ride horses, and country line dance before having two beautiful children. Jim also loved reading, skiing, soccer, rugby, baseball and football. He was an avid 49ers and Giants fan. He loved to go camping with his family and CFM friends from St. Joan of Arc parish. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Barbara; his daughter, Kelsey (20); his son, Jeffrey (17); his mother, Joan; his brother Tom (Denise) Croker of Pleasanton and their son Brandon of Discovery Bay; his sister Marianne (Ted) Vanasupa of San Ramon and their sons, Mitchell of Northridge and Casey, USMC; his uncle Andy (Patti) Reshke of Sacramento and many cousins. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at St. Joan of Arc Church, 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon @ 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Jim asked that donations be made in his name to the Bruns House, 2849 Miranda Ave, Alamo, 94507 or to Hospice of the East Bay.
