Obituary of Susan Irene Flynn

Susan, 73 years young passed away peacefully from complications of peripheral artery disease.
Jim, her husband of 48 years and his nephew Jimmie were by her side. Susan was born in Burlington, TN to George and Ruth Speer. She is survived by her husband James Flynn, Brother George and (Kazuko) Speer. Her nieces Catherine and (John) Kreutzer, Tina and (Ron) Brown. Grand nephew Collin Brown. Her sister Louise Brown, nephews Scott and Daniel Brown, Berry Brown, great nephew Scott Brown and great niece Melissa Greenhouse.
Susan graduated from Livermore High School in 1958 and began her career with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, retiring in 1996 after 38 years of dedicated service. Jim and Sue moved to Antioch California in 2000 to be closer to their boat they so enjoyed together and joined the Bridge Marina Yacht Club.
Susan throughly enjoyed boating and fishing with her husband Jim as well as creating works of art in needle-point and knitting. She was the strongest supporter of Jim as he began rising through the ranks of Elks for 26 years.
