View the image gallery Our beautiful grandmother passed away in her sleep from Renal failure just last Thursday night. We knew the time was coming but did not expect it to be right before Christmas.Florencia Durol Sarza of Concord, CA was born in Vacon Sorsodan, Philippines on May 11, 1918 to Anastasia Balia and Luis Edio Durol. Florencia met and married her beloved husband, Abundio "Bud" Sarza (God rest his soul) in the late 1930s. They had strong love for each other; God blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Teresita Durol Wong of Atwater, CA and Salustiana "Sally Ann" Ball of Clovis, New Mexico. Grandma Flor is survived by her daughters and 9 grandchildren: Leonora Mamanta of Oakland, CA, Daniel Wong Jr., Maryann Wong, Markham Mamanta of Concord, CA, Muraya Ranieri of Hercules, CA, Emily Wong, Sharyna Ball, Elayna Ball of Concord, CA, and James Ball of Clovis, New Mexico. She is also survived by14 great grandchildren, Lisa and Jesse Calderon, Angelina DeLaCampa, Malyna Mamanta-Green, Julian, Monique, Charysh, and Jaidon Ranieri, Erik Ikeda Lafferty, Tiyana and Josiah Mathis, Evan and Jake Ball, and Dakota Wood. She was also blessed with 3 great-great grandchildren, Angel and Celsa DeLaCruz and Jesse Calderon Jr. In addition, she has many wonderful nephews and nieces in San Jose, CA.Florencia worked at See's Candies in South San Francisco, CA in 1952 until she retired in 1980. She is remembered as a beautiful, kind and loving strong willed woman who loved to dance, cook and be with her family. Her family had always been the center of her life. She adored all her great-grandchildren and was quite proud of each and every one. She taught us all so much by her life examples. She was always a hard worker and helped her loved ones every way she could. Devoted to her husband for nearly 60 years, she truly was the pinnacle of our family. She had many wonderful friends and relatives who admired her strength and integrity. She will forever be an icon in our family.
