Rebecca Lausch ElliottOct. 25, 1943 ? October 15, 2006Resident of BrentwoodRebecca Lausch Elliott, 62, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a 5 year battle with breast cancer. Becky was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. After completing nursing training in Philadelphia, she traveled to California where she met and became engaged to Leonard Elliott. Len and Becky were married on August 17, 1968. Throughout the course of the next 38 years, they had four children ? Jennifer, Timothy, Jeffrey, and Christopher ? and moved between Utah, Louisiana, California and Pennsylvania, finally settling back in California. She is survived by her husband Leonard; daughter Jennifer and husband Jeffrey Myers, and grandchildren Ian and Rebekah Myers of Media, Pennsylvania; son Timothy and wife Julie, of Concord with a granddaughter due in February; and sons Jeffrey of Albany, Oregon, and Christopher of Concord. She is also survived by her mother, Naomi Lausch of Lititz, Pennsylvania; brother H. Nevin and wife Angie Lausch of Denver, Pennsylvania; sister Rowena Clough of Ellicott City, Maryland; sister Rachel Lausch and husband David Winters of Roach, Missouri; and sister-in-law Diane and husband Donald Woods of Ontario, Canada, and many nieces and nephews. Becky worked as a nurse for several years. When she had her first child she became a full time mother. She was fully committed to her faith in Christ, enjoyed teaching the two year old Sunday School classes at church, attending many adult Bible studies, and intercessory prayer. She was a wonderful cook, and loved to grow roses in her garden. She was also an avid shopper. A memorial service will be held at NorthCreek Church, 2303 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, on Oct. 29, 2006 at 4:00 PM. Remembrance donations can be made to the NorthCreek Church Building Fund, 2255 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598. Becky will be buried in her family's plot in the Muddy Creek Cemetery in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania.
