Paul Stewart Wolf May 29,1927-August 29,2006 Paul Wolf died August 29,2006 in Martinez at the age of 79 aftera month-long battle of heart complications. He was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. Aftergraduating from high school, he attended Moody Bible Institute inChicago where he was preparing to be a missionary. He was drafted intothe military and was honorably discharged after contractingtuberculosis. He married Joan Clark in 1955 and they lived in Waterloo, Iowabefore moving to Eugene, Oregon. They moved to the Bay Area in 1961 sothat he could attend Western Baptist Bible College. They settled inMartinez, California in 1963. Paul was actively involved with Grace Baptist Church serving asSunday School teacher, deacon, youth director & worship leader. He alsoserved as a member of the board at Berean Christian High School & lateras their treasurer. He worked for Hillson's, Roos Atkins, Smith's, Claude's & Men'sWearhouse. He was an avid walker & devoted grandfather. He was knownfor his enthusiasm, encouragement & love for people. He enjoyedpreaching and would fill in for sick or vacationing pastors. He wouldalso speak at men's retreats, missions and chapel services. Paul is survived by his devoted wife of 50+ years, Joan, his son& daughter-in-law, Ed & Carolyn Wolf, his daughter & son-in-law Ruth &Brad Shumate, his daughter & son-in-law Janie & David Nieuwsma, alongwith twelve beautiful grandchildren, Logan, Leigh & Landon Wolf; AnnaLisa, Caitlin, Elissa, William, and Meredith Shumate; and Victoria,Alexandra, Sophia & Anastasia Nieuwsma. Paul also has a sister &brother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Don Walker, along with nieces & nephews. Friends and family are invited to a memorial service celebratinghis life on Sunday, September 17, at 2:00pm at Walnut Creek PresbyterianChurch at 1801 Lacassie Drive (925) 935-1574. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be madeto Black Forest Academy (Project Renewal) c/o Janz Team Ministries P.O.Box 2010, Buffalo, N.Y. 14231-2010. This is a school for missionarychildren.
