Byron Eugene Sullivan Jr.Byron Eugene "Gene" Sullivan Jr. died peacefully in his home Friday December 23. He was surrounded with the love of his wife Christine, his daughter Karla and his son Michael. Gene was a devoted father and a loving husband. His family always came first. When it came to his children there was nothing he wouldn't do for them. His wife of 34 years was indulged by his love of animals. He especially enjoyed their time spent with the horses they rode.Born May 13, 1949 and raised in Albany California, Gene had many fond memories of growing up in the Bay Area. He was an avid A's fan and enjoyed attending the games. Gene was employed at PG&E for 35 years. He was without a doubt a dedicated, hard working, ambitious man. It wasn't just an occupation for him, he enjoyed his work.Those who knew him would understand he was an intensely private person. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his children, wife and those that he loved. His family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers contributions are made to Kaiser Martinez Hospice, 200 Muir Rd. Martinez 94553. Private services.
