Obituary of Robert Stringham
Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bob died at age 86. He served in the US Army at the Nuernburg War Crimes Trials before beginning a career as a mining and petroleum engineer, then as an organic chemist and patent agent. While employed by Dow Chemical Co., he was a co-inventor of a revolutionary artificial kidney. Examining evolutionary theory from the standpoint of a chemist, he concluded that evolution is not a sufficient explanation for the origins of life and humanity. He came to believe that the God of the Bible is the intelligent designer of the universe and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior.
Bob is survived by Joyce, his wife of 62 years, and by his children Stephen Stringham, Christine Nicolayeff, Jeanette Otti, Helen Strauss & Laura Lippincott.
Bob's friends can honor him in a memorial service on Sat. 19 Nov, 2 pm at Calvary Temple (4725 Evora Rd in Concord 457-9100- near the intersection of Taylor Ave & Hwy 4)
