Tom passed away at age 63 at his home on September 16, 2005 after a short battle with cancer. Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 30 years, Mariette, daughter Susan Lance, brother & sister-in-law Jerry & Nancy Zens, nephew Jeffrey Zens, all of Grosse Pointe, MI, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family & loving friends. Born & raised in Detroit, MI, Tom graduated from Oakland University & served in the U. S. Marine Corps in Vietnam. A 30-year Concord resident, Tom worked in pharmaceutical sales, computer sales & for the past 20 years was a real estate broker, most recently for Better Homes Realty Walnut Creek. Tom enjoyed golf, traveling, trivia, reading & carpentry.Family & friends are invited to a memorial service on Friday, September 30th at 11am at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, located at 5562 Clayton Rd. in Concord. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Tom's name to Kaiser Hospice, 200 Muir Road, Martinez, CA 94553.
