Marci & Family,
My deepest sympathies to you in this time of loss. I did not know that Greg was struggling with cancer so I was in shock when Kim Frantz had told me he had passed away. It seems like yesterday that I had met the two at Grace Covell freshman year. My impression that Greg had an inner peace & purpose even back then in college. He is a man of GOD and has lead a great life and the two of you have raised a great family. Our prayers are with you to deal with this loss of a wonderful spouse, husband & teacher. May God continue to bless you & your family.
Sincerely,
Demar Lewis & Family

Dear Brother Greg in Christ,
We would like you to know you are such a blessing to our family, specially to our son Jerey. Words are not enough to express our gratefulness and gratitude on what you have done for our son. You possess great wisdom as a spiritual father, mentor, coach and a friend. We will be here for your family should they need anything. We miss you already! Someday we hope to see you again to join you worshipping our Great Creator and to enjoy His Divine presence. We deeply love and care for you and your family. In Christ- The Maestres

Greg's love and devotion for his wife & children clearly ran very deep: one could tell by the way he spoke about them &/or interacted with them, yet he still had love left over for others, especially students. I will always be grateful to Coach Johnson for encouraging both my kids on & off the basketball court, for taking the time to notice their strengths, and for sharing his observations with their mother! When I remember Coach Johnson, I see a man who was quick to smile, eager to listen, and a master at encouragement. Jesus came through loud & clear through Greg?s words & actions because he accepted people where they were, expected the best from them, & did whatever he could to help them become authentic Christians (by words of encouragement or just by his example). Greg always seemed to remember that Christian Love & Grace are the most important parts of the equation. His dedication to others was an inspiration I truly will never forget. Greg will be missed by so many who count it a blessing to have known him!
